I am an integrative Psychotherapist qualified to Masters level and I have 13 years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy for individual adults and couples.
I take referrals from private individuals, private health insurances and through Employee Assistance Programmes.
I addition to private practice I have experience in providing high intensity counselling to NHS clients and in providing counselling support, supervision and training for multiple local and national charities.
I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and work within their ethical guidelines. I am DBS checked to work with vulnerable adults. I hold professional insurance and I am registered with the ICO.
How I Work
I will offer you the space to express freely how you are feeling and what has happened to you in the past, or is happening to you now. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, memories and beliefs regarding the issue that brings you to therapy at a pace determined by you.
The aim of our work will be (as appropriate)
- to develop a greater understanding of your issues and how they are impacting on you,
- to develop new strategies for managing these issues,
- to reduce the negative emotional impact your experience has on you,
- to identify changes you want to make in your life to improve the quality of your life,
- to build resilience for the future.
I draw on several recognised psychotherapy approaches to support you, based on your individual needs.
I will listen to you and support you no matter how difficult your experiences. As your therapist I will support you emphatically and without judgement.
Depending on the nature of your issues and your goals, therapy may be short or long-term. We will discuss your ideas up-front and have regular reviews.
